Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said so far 17 states and Union Territories have been included and three more states like Odisha, Mizoram and Nagaland are also being prepared. A total of 20 States / UTs will be ready to start ration card portability from June 1

Under this scheme, the beneficiaries of PDS will be identified from the electronic point of sale (PoS) device on their Aadhaar card. To implement this scheme across the country, PDS machines will be installed at all PDS shops. As states report 100% POS machines on PDS shops, they will be included in the 'One Nation, One Ration Card' scheme
